INTEGRITY - FRIENDSHIP - RESPECT - CHARITY
During 1945 a group of local Freemasons were returning from the war in Europe and got together to think about how they could take Freemasonry forward in the Godalming area.
The Provincial Grand Master approved the founding of the Archbishop Abbot Lodge in January 1945 and the first meeting was held.
It is thought the name of the Lodge came from where the founders met for coffee/tea on a regular basis at The Abbots Kitchen at the top of the High Street, somewhere near to where Barclays Bank is today.

Archbishop Abbot Lodge is a friendly local lodge on the outskirts of the town centre meeting at Masonic Hall, Ockford Road, Godalming, GU7 1RQ
